Hello! Today I'll be doing another casual review on the Marvel Legends Infinite Series Black Cat.
I'm not going to lie, I may not be a fan of the figure but Hasbro did improve the female sculpt with her.
I put her off for too long, I'm honestly surprised I passed by her so many times
at Walmart with all the scalpers in Edinburg and McAllen.
Here you can see Black Cat standing at a good 6 inches.
Hasbro changed the female body and it looks pretty neat at a distance.
I know they will probably milk this body on the next releases but at least it
isn't as bad as it was before.
Black Cat wouldn't be complete without her whip!
It's a pretty neat accessory, even though I would have preferred that she came
with extra hands or at least a diamond.
Let's take a closer look at the top portion of this figure. First thing
to catch my attention was that they made her cleavage look pretty decent.
I was surprised by this! The paint on her face mask is off on the figure I got.
The way her head is positioned is the only way you'll get her, she cannot look up or
down without her head popping off. It's possible to move it sideways but it's a pain.
The bottom portion of her body looks pretty nice, it looks pretty proportional to
the rest of her body unlike the Black Widow figure from the Captain America wave that
came out.
The paint they used for her hair is great! I like how the blue portions
look with the white. I give it a thumbs up!
They even did the same thing with the paint on her hair on her boots which
was awesome! I also like how they made her behind and back a bit
more feminine so at a distance you can actually see that she is a female figure.
Alright~ Let's talk articulation now. I really dislike that they did
not make her double jointed here, that kills most of the poses I had in mind.
Also doesn't help that her hand isn't articulated either. That's a shame
because this limits her look and makes her look stiff overall in my opinion.
At least they gave her good articulation on her legs! I would have to say
that this is my favorite part of the entire figure. Black Cat is a character who
is always on her feet and if the would have gave her better articulation like they did
here she would have been a great figure.
Her high heels! You can't get her in any decent poses because of this!
I had to have her on the stand just to get her to stand straight. If you can
manage to get her to stand than a slight breeze or bump can knock her down.
Overall in my opinion she wasn't a very good figure. She had so much
promise and could have been an amazing figure but in terms of articulation and
paint mistakes she fell flat and doesn't deserve all the hype people have been giving her in my
local scene. I would give her a 4.5/10 as a figure.
